Is it worth upgrading my old CPU on a tight budget?

I'm currently using an i5 8400 with a 3070 GPU, but I feel like my CPU is bottlenecking my performance. I'm on a 1151 socket and I'm tight on budget right now. I know I should eventually move to AM5, but for now, I'm considering picking up a better 1151 chip, maybe from AliExpress. What do you think? Should I try to upgrade my CPU now or just wait and save up for a more complete upgrade?

Honestly, it might be better to save up instead of spending on an upgrade for an old socket. Anything you buy now will just be a temporary fix and you'll end up spending more in the long run.

Yeah, I agree! It's a dead-end platform. Just save that cash for a proper upgrade.
