Is it worth upgrading to the 5000 series graphics cards?

I'm currently using a 4070 Super for 1080p gaming at 300Hz. I've noticed that upgrading to a 4070 Ti, 4070 Ti Super, or even a 4080 only gives me less than 20% more FPS. Even a 4090 only shows about a 30% performance increase based on benchmarks from Tom's Hardware. My CPU is a 9800x3D, so I'm not looking to upgrade that. Also, I'm curious about the differences in using 2x frame generation between the 4000 and 5000 series. Would a 5070 have less latency with 2x frame generation compared to my 4070 Super using the same settings, given that they have similar raw power?

I own both 4000 and 5000 series GPUs. In my experience, using 2x frame generation works pretty well if your base framerate is already high. However, if you're getting high enough FPS that 4x+ feels good, then you probably don’t even need frame generation at all.

Do you find 3x and 4x to feel sluggish compared to 2x? Also, is the 2x frame generation in the 5000 series similar to that in the 4000 series?
