I built a PC back in 2021 with an Intel i7 4th generation processor, an NVIDIA GeForce 1050 Ti (4GB), 16GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a 1TB HDD. I'm wondering if this setup is still decent or if I need to consider an upgrade.

I suggest upgrading if you're interested in playing the latest AAA games. However, if you don’t play those types of games, you probably don’t need to worry about it.
It's worth about $100-150, so you need to consider what you want it for. While it could handle older games and light tasks just fine, it’s no longer a gaming PC by today's standards. Just depends on what you're expecting from it!
If your PC still meets your needs, then it's fine. A new build would definitely be faster, but it's only worth upgrading if you feel it's necessary for what you want to do.
This is pretty much a budget build from 2017, so I'd definitely say it's time for an upgrade if you're looking for better performance.
Your build is alright, but keep in mind that newer builds are significantly more powerful now. If you're not running into issues, you might still be okay for casual tasks.
