Hey everyone! I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 5600x paired with an RX 6060 XT 16GB, and I've been having some trouble while playing and streaming Marvel Rivals at 1080p. During intense team fights with special abilities, I notice significant FPS drops and stutters down to the 80s. When I'm not streaming, everything runs smoothly. I'm wondering if my 5600x is the bottleneck while I'm streaming. Should I think about upgrading my CPU on the AM4 platform, or is it better to jump to AM5?

If you have the budget, consider going for AM5. I feel like the performance uplift from AM4 x3d processors isn’t worth the price. You might get a better long-term benefit from upgrading to the latest platform instead.
I used to have a 5600x with a 3080, and after switching to a 9800x3d, the difference was impressive. The 3080 became the bottleneck afterward, but if you're streaming, a better CPU like the 5700X3D could give you a noticeable boost. Just keep an eye on prices — I saw it for around $175 before, but it's pricey now. If you find a used one for about $150, it could be worth extending your AM4 setup for a bit longer!
You might want to start by tweaking your streaming settings! Not much is left for AM4, but make sure hardware encoding is enabled; that could help with performance during those busy moments.
I checked, and I'm using the GPU encoder for sure. I also have enhanced broadcasting on, which outputs multiple resolutions. Do you think that’s contributing to the drops?
