I recently installed a Thermalright PS120SE air cooler for my Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I'm curious if this cooler is adequate for my CPU, or should I consider switching to a liquid cooling solution instead?

I manage my temperatures well with a low-profile cooler. With some tuning, my setup rarely goes over 80°C, so you should be all set!
Your air cooler should be just fine! The Ryzen 7 9800X3D can run a bit hot, but a quality air cooler like yours will handle it well. Just keep an eye on the temperatures during heavy usage.
I paid $58 AUD for it!
Totally good! Air coolers have come a long way and can really do the job.
Thanks for the reassurance!
I've had mixed experiences with water cooling. Switched to a Dark Rock 5 for my 7800X3D, and it's way cooler and quieter than my old AIO. I think air cooling can be just as effective if you get a solid cooler.
Absolutely! Your air cooler should keep your temps reasonable, especially if you're not massively overclocking.
Good to hear, thanks!
