Hey everyone! I'm curious about the compatibility of running two 64GB RAM kits, specifically the G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB (2x64GB) DDR5 6000 MT/s CL34-44-44-96 1.35V with my AMD 9950X3D and X870E-E motherboard. I've heard that it's becoming more common to use 128GB sets, but is it realistic to expect stable performance? For those running large language models at 16fp, do you think a setup like this would work, or is it a stretch?

I think going for a Threadripper setup might be a smarter move if you're planning on heavy workloads. You'd get more lanes for multiple GPUs, even if it is pricier in the short term.
Threadripper is definitely out of my budget! I'm considering lowering the speed and waiting for future BIOS updates to enhance performance. Is that even feasible?
