I've been waiting for my BIOS flash to complete, and the light has been blinking for almost 20 minutes now. I'm really anxious since the flash is around 30 MB. I later noticed that it has been over an hour! Is there a way to stop this BIOS flash if it's taking this long?

Most AM5 motherboards support BIOS flashing even if the CPU isn't installed or the BIOS is faulty. Just plug your USB drive into the dedicated slot, press and hold the button for a specific time (check your manual for the exact duration). That's the simplest way to handle it.
Don't worry too much! If your motherboard has a BIOS recovery button on the back, you're in good shape. Even if you interrupt the flash, you can usually just run it again without any issues. If it seems frozen, you could try using a different USB drive since they can be finicky sometimes.
I've flashed my Asrock X870 recently and it felt like it took forever—way longer than my previous X570. If your BIOS flash is writing at a slow rate, it could definitely take up to 20 minutes or more. I personally recommend flashing from within UEFI unless you absolutely need to use the Flashback feature.
