I'm lending my younger brother some cash to help him build a gaming PC. He found this build online and sent me the link for feedback. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the setup—are there any parts you'd recommend improving or downgrading? Here's the link to the build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fqb3Dj. Thanks in advance for the help!

You might want to consider switching to a WD Black drive instead of the Green if it's not too much more. I've had better success with the Black drives in terms of longevity.
Consider getting a higher wattage PSU for future upgrades. The current 5070 is good, but who knows, in a few years he might want to upgrade to a 7070!
If you want to maximize value, check out this alternative build I found! It offers similar performance but with a few upgrades: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/34Qkt3).
- For the CPU, I recommend the AMD Ryzen 7 7700.
- The Thermalright Peerless Assassin cooler is a great choice too!
What's the resolution for the monitor? This CPU and GPU combo is great for 2560x1440 if that's in the plans. Check out this bottleneck calculator to see how it performs: [Bottleneck Calculator](https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1nt1xO/1/general-tasks/2560x1440/).
Glad it helps! Just a note, it would be nice if they had iGPU options for casual games.
Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with the system as it is. Seems solid!
Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it!
He’s happy with 1440p gaming, thanks for that link!
