I had a technician work on my PC because it wasn't POSTing, which meant I couldn't see anything on the monitor. He used a USB drive to update the BIOS and held down some function keys for about 10-15 minutes. I'm just wondering if there's any chance of my computer being infected with a virus from this process. Any thoughts? Thanks!

There's a slight chance but probably not a real risk. If the technician was from a reputable company, I wouldn't be too worried about viruses. Just keep in mind that if the power goes out while flashing the BIOS, it could potentially brick your motherboard.
If you're still concerned about security, running a virus scan afterward might give you some peace of mind. But really, if the tech did their job right, you should be in the clear!
Very unlikely, especially if the tech was from a legitimate IT service. The process you described sounds normal for BIOS flashing. I wouldn’t stress too much about it.
It's pretty standard to use a USB for BIOS updates. As long as the technician followed the right procedures, it shouldn't pose a virus risk. It’s common practice for modern motherboard updates!
