Hey all! I currently have a Ryzen 5 5600, and I'm thinking about upgrading to the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D. My main concern is that I'm using the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO Red cooler, and I've heard that air cooling might not be the best option for the 3D Ryzen CPUs. I also really dislike loud fan noise. My Ryzen 5 usually stays around 66–67°C, even when I stress test it with Prime95. Do you think this cooler could handle the 5700X3D? And should I just go for the 5800X or stick with the 5700X3D?

I have the Ryzen 5 5600X overclocked, and my brother uses the 5700X3D, both with an Arctic Freezer 36 cooler and MX-6 thermal paste. We do just fine! In hot summer months, our max temps only hit about 70-73°C but that’s pretty rare. Under full load, we’re usually around 60-66°C in games, so I think your cooler could manage.

Is it worth the upgrade though? I’ve got a 3070 GPU currently.
