Is My CPU and Motherboard Good Enough for an RTX 5060 Upgrade?

I'm considering upgrading my GPU from a GTX 1060 to an RTX 5060 8GB. My setup includes an Asus Prime B350 Plus motherboard, a Ryzen 5 1500x CPU, and 16GB of RAM. I've heard some mention that my CPU might bottleneck the upgrade, but I'm curious if the motherboard will handle it as well. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the RTX 5060. Your motherboard is PCIe 3.0, and that could lead to performance drops with the 5060. You might want to look into the RX 9060 XT, which is around the same price and generally offers better performance. Also, upgrading your CPU to something like the Ryzen 5 5600 would help a ton!

Totally agree! The RX 9060 XT and RTX 5060 run into similar issues with PCI-E bandwidth when they hit their VRAM limit. While the 9060 XT may have a slight edge in some scenarios, you'd need a 16GB variant for best results.
