Hey everyone! I'm working on a build and wanted to verify if my setup will work well in the Corsair 4000D case. Here's what I have: I'm using a Ryzen 9 5900x with a Gigabyte x570 Gaming X motherboard, powered by a Corsair HX1200i PSU. My first GPU is an MSI RTX 5090 VANGUARD SOC installed in the x16 PCIe 4.0 slot, and for the second GPU, I plan to use a Palit 4060 TI connected via a LINKUP - AVA5 PCIe 5.0 extension cable in the motherboard's x4 PCIe slot. I'm thinking of mounting the 4060 TI either on the PSU shroud or in the space between the motherboard and the front of the case. Are there any major issues I should be worried about? Thanks!

I'm concerned about the x4 slot for the 4060 TI. It might struggle with adequate bandwidth for optimal performance. Have you looked into why you’re going with this dual setup?
Mounting the Palit 4060 TI might be tricky. How do you plan to secure it? Are you thinking of using zip ties or something else?
I might resort to zip ties, but I’m also waiting for a GPU bracket I ordered online to give me a better solution.
You might run into some issues with this setup. If you’re using the second GPU for lighter tasks, I’d still recommend considering the bandwidth potential. Just curious, what’s your purpose for the dual GPUs?
I need the 5090 for machine learning training and the 4060Ti for light inference. Do you think the bandwidth from the x4 slot will be a limiting factor?

In tests, it seems the bandwidth usage for inference stays relatively low, around 10-100Mb/s, with occasional spikes. I’m hoping that’s manageable without causing issues.
