I'm building my first gaming PC and need some help checking the parts I've chosen. It's meant solely for gaming, and I already have a 1080p monitor. I'm trying to keep my budget below $1500 AUD.

I encountered a compatibility warning: 'The MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard requires BIOS version 7E26v1C to support the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor. If my motherboard has an older BIOS version, I need to update it first.' I heard this can be resolved with an update, but I wanted to get advice on my whole build too. Here's my parts list:

- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor ($530.44)
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO 69 CFM CPU Cooler ($89.00)
- **Motherboard:** MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard ($259.00)
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 ($149.00)
- **Storage:** Crucial P3 Plus 2 TB M.2 NVME SSD ($169.00)
- **Video Card:** XFX Speedster SWFT 309 Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB (approx. $500)
- **Case:** Montech XR ATX Mid Tower Case ($78.00)
- **Power Supply:** Corsair RM750e 750 W 80+ Gold Certified ($169.00)
- **OS:** Microsoft Windows 11 Home OEM ($187.00)

**Total:** $1799.44

Hey! I noticed your CPU is more expensive than your GPU, which isn’t ideal for gaming. Since you’re gaming at 1080p, a cheaper CPU might be better to allow for a more powerful GPU. Have you considered looking at the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X? It could really boost your gaming performance!

Your build looks decent, but I suggest going with a less expensive CPU, maybe the Ryzen 5 7600X, and investing the savings into a better GPU. You could even find a good used GPU on marketplace sites without breaking the bank! Also, remember, 6000MHz RAM is great, but it's not the end of the world if you're using 6000 CL36.

Good point! I’ll look into that. I just thought I'd get the best CPU possible since I want it to last.

For a gaming build, the Ryzen 5 7600X or even 9600X should be fine and will save you some cash! Just keep your priorities straight with the GPU since it’s what really enhances gaming performance, especially at 1080p.
