I've been saving up and I'm almost ready to buy my first gaming PC. I'm looking to run games like Myth of Wukong, Call of Duty, Sekiro, Warzone, Valorant, and League of Legends on ultra or max graphics. I want a 240 Hz monitor since I've heard that's where the diminishing returns start, and I also want it to run smoothly without stuttering. I'd appreciate any advice on whether I'm choosing compatible parts and if there are better options for just a bit more money. Quick note: I'm including a Wooting keyboard and a glass mousepad, and my family is gifting me the RAM. Thanks in advance! Here's the part list: [PCPartPicker](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rYt7W9).

Honestly, the RTX 5070 won’t handle 4K gaming well for what you’re aiming for. It would struggle to hit 240 FPS in demanding titles at that resolution. So you definitely need to upgrade your GPU. You might consider getting a 2TB SSD since 1TB feels small for a gaming rig like yours. As for sound, don’t worry about a sound card; just use onboard audio. That will save you some cash.
Look at higher-end models, perhaps something from the RTX 6000 series if your budget allows. That will really make a difference!
Your build has some issues. For starters, the motherboard is overkill for what you need, and the RAM capacity is much higher than necessary for gaming. Also, a 1TB SSD is quite low for a $4,000 setup. Plus, the RTX 5070 is underpowered for 4K gaming. You won't need a DVD for Windows; just get a digital copy. Consider whether you need a sound card since good motherboards have solid onboard audio. Lastly, a 240 Hz 4K monitor doesn't match up well with your GPU. You might want to rethink that part of your setup!
Thanks for the feedback! So, I should look for a more affordable motherboard and probably a better GPU for 4K? Also, what's a good amount of storage, like 2TB?
Definitely! A 2TB SSD is a good call. And in terms of GPU, aim for something that can really handle 4K smoothly.
You should definitely skip the sound card; they’re unnecessary for most people unless you’re really into audio fidelity. Also, a better GPU is crucial for your gaming aspirations. Look into options that are specifically designed for 4K gaming. A 2TB SSD is a must for your build; don’t skimp on storage with all the games out there!
Tackling 4K with the right GPU is definitely the way to go. Thanks for the help!
No problem! Enjoy building your PC!

Alright, I’ll ditch the sound card! Thanks! What GPU would you recommend?
