Is My GPU Bottlenecking or Am I Good to Go?

I recently built a new PC with a 9060 XT 16GB GPU and a Ryzen 7 7700X. While playing games like Roblox, I notice my GPU is being used at over 80%, while my CPU usage hovers around 20%. It seems like my GPU is doing most of the heavy lifting, especially since I run at 1440p. However, for more demanding games like Black Myth Wukong and Elden Ring, the usage looks different. I just want to know if this is a sign of bottlenecking, or if it's normal for my setup.

Games like Roblox won't fully utilize your CPU, so your configuration is perfectly fine. You seem to have a solid build, especially since you're playing graphics-heavy titles like Black Myth Wukong without issues.

I play Black Myth Wukong on high settings, and it runs really well!

Even with lower CPU usage like 20%, it doesn't necessarily mean your CPU is holding you back. Your GPU is the main player at higher resolutions like 1440p, so it’s normal for it to be more utilized than your CPU. Even swapping it for a 4090 wouldn’t likely change that.

Okay, thanks for the help!

What performance issues are you facing? Generally, if you're hitting 400 FPS, you shouldn't be worried about bottlenecking based on those numbers.

I don't have a problem with performance, just noticed the usage and got a bit concerned.

CPU usage varies by game, depending on how many cores and threads it utilizes. Just because your CPU is sitting at 20% doesn't mean it's bottlenecking. Your GPU handling the load is expected, especially at 1440p where it usually leads in performance.

So it's not a bottleneck?
