I was playing a game and watching YouTube when suddenly everything froze. The screen got all distorted with weird colors. After that, I lost video output entirely, but I eventually got it back, although now I have red pixels scattered all over the screen and the resolution seems off. Is my GPU failing?

It sounds like your GPU might be having some serious issues. Definitely check the cables first just to rule that out, but if both monitors are acting up (one via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort), it could be a sign that the VRAM is failing on your GPU.
Have you tried downloading GPU-Z? That could help you check if the specs are reporting correctly. It might give you some insight on what's going wrong, even if it's hard to see anything right now.
I'll give it a shot, but my screen's been so glitchy it's tough to read anything!
I agree, the cable probably isn't the issue since both monitors are affected. Might be time to think about a replacement.
