Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC and I need some advice. Here are my specs: TUF850 Plus Wifi, Gigabyte 5080, and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I'm worried about my graphics card because when I put my case upright, it's pretty heavy, and my old RTX 2070 started sagging a bit. The new 5080 is much larger, and I'm concerned about whether it'll break. Gigabyte included a support system, but I only have one screw holding it in place. I had to modify my case slightly because the Display Port slots were blocked, and I'm unsure if it's safe to use the case upright or if I should lay it on its side. Would appreciate any advice! I've attached some pictures for reference.

It sounds like you're worried about the card sagging and damaging the PCIe connection. You definitely want to add a second screw to secure that big 5080 better. Also, if the Gigabyte support system is properly attached and you have another screw, it should help with the weight when the case is upright. Just keep an eye on it! Also, make sure your rear fan is set up correctly; it should be pulling air out to aid in cooling.
Honestly, that case looks outdated for modern builds. If airflow and cooling are concerns (which they definitely are these days), it might be worth investing in a newer case. You could look at something with better airflow features. A case that suits today's PC setups can make a huge difference in performance.
I just ordered an NZXT H9 Flow! I'm hoping that will fix a lot of my airflow issues!
Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely add that second screw and double-check the fan direction. Better safe than sorry with such an expensive card!
