I'm considering upgrading my graphics card from an NVIDIA 4070 to a 5080 primarily for gaming purposes. Currently, I have an Intel i7 13700F CPU. Will this combination work well together, or should I think about upgrading my CPU as well? Thanks for any insights!

Honestly, your 13700F should handle the 5080 without any issues, especially if you aren't aiming for that competitive esports level. Even there, hitting over 240 fps isn't always necessary. You might even want to consider the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT if you're looking for better value instead of the 5080!
If you're mostly playing esports titles, you might not be hitting the maximum frames that the 5080 can offer. For AAA games, though, your setup should perform within 5-10% of the top-tier CPUs, which is pretty solid!
It really depends on the types of games you play and your settings. But overall, I think your current setup will be just fine for most scenarios!

In esports, though, every frame counts! At that level, everyone’s reaching for maximum performance because the competition is so tight.
