Hey everyone, I'm having some serious issues with my ASUS TUF Gaming laptop. Every time I start it up, Windows runs a system repair, but it boots up fine afterward. I did a clean install of Windows 11 using a USB I made from this same laptop and deleted all partitions. Despite this, the repair still happens. Plus, I've been experiencing screen tearing in both Edge and Chrome. Sometimes, my laptop can't connect to the internet and I get stuck at a screen where I have to choose a startup repair or shutdown option. Event Viewer shows a weird issue related to permission settings with a COM server application that sounds concerning. I'm really worried there might be malware, especially since nothing has been detected by Malwarebytes or F-secure after several scans. I have external SSDs and HDDs I've used during this time, and I'm anxious that they might be infected too. Can anyone help me with this?

It sounds like you might be dealing with a complex issue here. Sometimes, persistent repair prompts could indicate deeper system problems that a simple reinstall doesn't solve. It could also mean there's something wrong with your hardware or possibly underlying malware. I’d recommend checking out reliable malware guides to ensure you cover all your bases.
Great point! I was thinking the same thing. The fact that reinstalling didn’t fix it is a bit alarming.
