Is My New PC Build Good Enough for Casual Gaming in the Next Few Years?

Hey everyone! I'm planning to build a new PC since it's been a while since my last one from 2018. I'm primarily looking for a system that can handle casual gaming without needing the latest 4k/120Hz capabilities. I want to ensure it lasts around 4-5 years without major issues. Here's a rundown of my current parts list: - Case: Endorfy Ventum 200 ARGB - Motherboard: MSI Gaming Plus WIFI AMD B650 - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X - CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock Pro 3 - SSD: 1 TB Lexar NM790 - RAM: 32GB Patriot VIPER VENOM DDR5-6000 - Power Supply: MSI MAG A750GL 750 W 80+ Gold Modular. I'm also planning to get an RTX 5070 GPU but I want to find a good deal since I don't need all the parts right now. The total cost is around €1200, and I'm comfortable with that. Just looking for feedback on my choices or if there's room for improvement!

You might not even need a dedicated GPU for casual gaming, depending on your definition of "casual." But having one does give you more options and a smoother experience overall!

True, but I prefer being a bit over the top so I won't feel restricted later on!

As long as you're not chasing max settings, this build is solid for casual gaming. Consider adding more storage later if needed, but for now, it looks like a good setup!

Exactly, I just need decent performance, not ultra settings. And I can always upgrade the storage later.

Most computers built today can last around 4-6 years for casual uses. Since you have a mid-tier build, you'll likely get good longevity out of it!

Make sure to check the GPU length before buying, your case supports GPUs up to 315mm. It's an essential consideration when picking a card!

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep that in mind when I find a deal on a GPU.

An RTX 5070 should work just fine for casual gaming over the next 4-5 years. Just keep in mind that you might not be pushing max settings on the latest AAA titles, but for 1440p gaming, it should handle most modern games well!

That's what I thought! 😀 What about the rest of the build, any suggestions?
