Is my new PC upgrade plan a good choice?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on my upcoming PC upgrade. Apologies in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes, as English isn't my first language. I'm upgrading from my 5-year-old setup, which includes a Ryzen 9 3900x and an RTX 3070 8GB that I upgraded a few years back. My focus is solely on gaming, so I'm aiming for increased FPS and a better overall gaming experience.

I've been impressed with AMD's Ryzen CPUs, and I've settled on the Ryzen 7 9800x3D due to its excellent 3D cache performance for gaming. However, this means I'll need to change my motherboard, RAM, and cooling system because of the new CPU socket.

Here's what I currently have in my cart:
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B850-F GAMING WIFI
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800x3D
- RAM: Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 6000MHz 32GB

I'm planning to keep my existing GPU for now to stay within my budget. One concern: the listing for the motherboard says it supports 4000mhz (OC) RAM, but that it has "EXPO." From what I've read, having EXPO enabled in BIOS should allow it to run at 8000mhz OC. I just need my RAM to function at 6000MHz.

Do you all think this upgrade, particularly the motherboard choice, is a good move? I know my GPU may bottleneck the performance a bit, but I'll upgrade it later when I can afford to. According to "willitbottleneck," the performance bottleneck on heavy CPU tasks is around 5.3%. Thanks for any input!

Honestly, those bottleneck calculators aren’t very reliable, so I wouldn’t stress too much about that. For AM5, MSI and Gigabyte boards are generally regarded as better choices compared to ASUS, especially in terms of software quality. But if you’re getting that ASUS board on a good sale, you might just have to deal with some quirks in their software. If it's within your budget, go for it!

Thanks for the input! The main reason I chose the ASUS is that it's on a solid sale—30% off, which really helps. Are the software issues severe enough that I should rethink it?
