I'm in the process of upgrading my setup from AM4 to AM5 and currently, I've been using a Noctua NH-D15 black cooler with my 5950X. It's been working really well, peaking at around 81°C during Cinebench tests. Now that I've got my motherboard and RAM, my new 9950X3D CPU is arriving today. I'm curious if the Noctua cooler will still be sufficient for this new processor, or should I consider switching to an AIO cooler? I haven't really found any benchmarks comparing this cooler with the 9950X3D.

You should be fine with the D15! It's a high-quality air cooler. Just a heads up, AM5 CPUs tend to run hotter than AM4 ones, so seeing temperatures around 80-90°C under full load is pretty standard due to how their boost algorithms work.
If your 5950X was hitting 81°C, that might indicate the D15 could struggle a bit with the 9950X3D. I'd suggest considering an AIO cooler like the Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 for better thermal performance.
