I'm trying to figure out if my old SSD is compatible with my new motherboard. I recently upgraded my PC and have an NVME SSD as the primary boot drive with Windows 11 installed, plus a SATA 1TB SSD connected to my PSU and motherboard. The primary SSD is in the NV 2 slot and is working fine. However, my older SSD is in a second additional slot and isn't being recognized. Could the slot make a difference? Also, if my old SSD isn't compatible, what's the best way to transfer my data?

There are also adapters available that can convert your SATA connections to normal SATA, which could be an easy fix. They work pretty well and are straightforward to use.
Your old SSD is a SATA SSD, and it looks like your motherboard only supports PCI-E SSDs in its M.2 slots. That's likely why your system isn't recognizing it. To copy data from your old SSD, you can use either an external enclosure that supports SATA M.2 drives or find a PC that can handle both SATA and NVMe drives in its slots.
