I've never built a PC before, but I'm planning to save up and try it later this year. I put together a list of parts and I'm wondering if they're a good combination for a beginner. I'd appreciate any feedback on whether they work well together and if this is a decent starter setup! Here's what I'm looking at:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- CPU cooler: Thermalright Assassin X 90 SE ARGB 32.77 CFM
- Motherboard: Asus PRIME B550M-A WIFI II Micro ATX AM4
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16) DDR4-3600 CL-18
- Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
- GPU: ASRock Challenger D Radeon RX 6600 8GB
- Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: Corsair CX (2023) 650 W 80+ Bronze
- Monitor: KOORUI 24E3 24.0" 1920 x 1080 165 Hz

It's great that you’re thinking about your budget! Just a heads up, the AM4 platform is getting older, so if you can, consider going for AM5 if your budget allows for it. That way you’ll have better upgrade options in the future. What’s your budget like?
This is actually a solid parts list for a budget AM4 system! The components you’ve chosen offer good value for most users. Just keep an eye on the prices in your area to ensure you're getting the best deal. If you want more tailored feedback, you can set up the build on PCPartPicker for your country—it helps a lot!
I’m aiming for around 1000 euros since I’d like to build it before Windows 10 support ends. My current laptop can’t handle Windows 11.
