Is my PC acting weird or do I have a virus?

I've been having some strange problems with my PC lately, and I'm starting to worry that I might have a virus. For the last few months, certain apps have been freezing in weird ways, like half the screen just freezes while I can still scroll the other half. This mostly happens in Spotify and Edge, but my games seem fine. Additionally, my computer has been randomly spamming keys, like clicks and spaces; I even recorded it happening (check out the video I linked).

One day, I also got this awful blue screen of death that really freaked me out. I've tried running Malwarebytes and Windows Defender, but they didn't find anything suspicious. I've uninstalled any third-party antivirus software, and I've even updated my BIOS, but nothing has worked so far. Any ideas?

Take a deep breath. Just because your PC is acting up doesn't necessarily mean you've got malware. If Windows Defender came back clean, it's probably nothing to worry about. Things happen. Try to stay calm and keep checking on it.

Also, just a tip: steer clear of sketchy sites; that’s where a lot of bugs come from.

I recommend reinstalling Windows and making sure your graphics drivers are updated. A lot of malware now tends to focus on stealing passwords rather than just messing up your system, so that could also be a possibility. It's worth checking.

It sounds like your PC is definitely having some issues. For the key spamming, I’m not sure what could cause that, but your BSOD and the app freezing could signal deeper problems. A good step would be to run an offline scan with Windows Defender to check for malware that might not show up in a regular scan. Also, after a BSOD, check the Event Viewer for logs that might give you more info on what caused it.

To understand the BSOD better, we need the dump files, which are the crash logs. If you can start Windows normally or even in Safe Mode, look for the minidump files in C:WindowsMinidump. Compress that folder and upload it to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe. Multiple dump files would be best for diagnosis.
