Hey everyone! My brother just built a PC, and honestly, it made me super jealous! I've decided to start gradually buying parts for my own rig instead of waiting until I have everything saved up. Before I dive in, I want to make sure my build is solid, I'm getting the best deals, and that my favorite games like Marvel Rivals and Borderlands will run really smoothly.
Here's what I'm looking at on PCPartPicker:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core - $202.14
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Assassin X Refined SE RGB V2 - $18.69
- **Motherboard:** MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX - $159.99
- **Memory:** TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB DDR5-6000 - $92.99
- **Storage:** Klevv CRAS C910 2 TB M.2 NVME SSD - $105.99
- **Video Card:** XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB - $699.71
- **Case:** SAMA V40 ATX Mid Tower - $89.99
- **Power Supply:** Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 750W - $89.99
That totals up to about $1459.49. Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, paying more than $400 for a 7800XT is a bit excessive. I'd look into alternative cards like the 5060TI or 5070 series if you’re willing to spend around that much. And hey, have you checked out the 14600K? It’s a solid deal at $164, even though it might be out of stock at Walmart, just ask them to price match elsewhere. Don't forget to update the BIOS to prevent any potential quirks with your new setup!
Your build looks pretty solid! One thing to consider is that you might find cheaper options for the 7800XT. If you switch that out for a less expensive model, you could use the savings to get a better CPU cooler, which would be a good investment for performance and future upgrades. This setup should definitely run those games without a hitch!
Yeah, I really need to save some cash on the graphics card, for sure!
Have you thought about the 9600X? It's priced similarly and Newegg has a deal where you get a free 2x8GB RAM kit with it. Just avoid using four sticks with DDR5, it can be a hassle. Plus, $700 for the 7800XT is way too much! I'd recommend buying all your parts at once rather than piecemeal; you won’t be able to test them until you have a working PC. If you grab everything but the GPU, you could use integrated graphics while you look for a deal.
I’m definitely getting the 9600X, especially since it’s only $7 more, haha!
Is this card [better or worse?](https://www.newegg.com/asus-tuf-gaming-tuf-rtx5070-o12g-gaming-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5070-12gb-gddr7/p/N82E16814126758) I’m really not sure what I’m looking for!
