I'm building my first PC and I want to know if the components I've chosen are good enough for gaming at 1440p. Here's what I have:
- CPU: 7 9800x3D
- GPU: 9070XT
- RAM: 2x32GB CL30 6000MHz
Any feedback would be appreciated!

You could totally save some cash with the 9070 for 1440p gaming, but if you're thinking ahead and want the most out of your system, then what you have is great. 32GB is usually more than enough for gaming!

I’m looking to go a bit future-proof, that’s why I chose the 9800x3D and 64GB of RAM.

Honestly, you’ve got an over-the-top setup for just 1440p gaming! The 9800x3D is top-tier right now, and you probably don't need all that RAM unless you're doing heavy multitasking or video editing. Most gamers can max out settings at 1440p with less powerful hardware. Companies are getting us to think we need to spend a fortune for a good experience, but this build is definitely at the bleeding edge for 1440p gaming!

Thanks for this response!

Right. I game at 1440p 165hz on a 5600x and a 6750xt.

But hey, now you've got two lonely RAM slots! Just kidding, but for real, you might wanna consider getting another 2x32GB to balance it out. Enjoy your awesome build!

Should work really well, for sure! Just keep in mind that while you could have gone for a cheaper GPU and less RAM, it’s fine to go all out if budget isn't a concern. You're building for the future, so why not?

Thanks man, I appreciate it!

That's a solid start! If you're aiming for future-proofing, your choices are great. You could technically get by with a less expensive CPU and RAM, but it seems like you're ready to invest a bit more for longevity, which is smart!
