Is my PC build good for gaming on a budget?

I'm new to the world of PCs and looking for some advice on my build. I've heard that PowerGPU doesn't disappoint, so I chose them for my setup. I really want to make sure I can run games like Minecraft, Roblox, and Bloons TD6 smoothly. My budget is below $1,700, and here's what I've put together:

- THERMALTAKE ASTRIA 400 ARGB Air Cooler
- Intel Core i5-13400F Processor
- MSI B760 Gaming Plus WiFi DDR5 ATX Motherboard
- KINGSTON NV3 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD
- LEXAR THOR RGB 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM
- NVIDIA RTX 5060 (8GB) Placeholder
- THERMALTAKE Smart BM3 750W 80Plus Bronze Semi-Modular PSU
- Windows 11 Pro
- HYTE Y60 Mid-Tower Case (in red, which I specifically picked)

The total comes to $1,648.20 after taxes and labor costs. I'm just wondering if this is too much power for what I need or if I should consider making adjustments?

Honestly, I’d rethink the whole build. For that budget, you might end up with subpar performance with what you've got. You could get something like an AM5 9600X paired with an RX 9060 XT 16GB, and it would still be around $1,000. If you're not comfortable building it yourself, it will be more costly, which means you get less oomph for your dollars. Check out example builds to get a better idea!

Thanks for the input! Just to clarify, would those parts fit well into my current build layout?

I'm also trying to figure out if I need something better than my laptop, which lags a lot while running Minecraft. Do you think this new setup will be smoother?

You're not going to get the best performance from your current setup, especially if it's priced around $1,600. You should aim for around $900 for optimal performance. Check out this guide for a more efficient build, it covers a lot of the best options out there.
