Is My PC Build Suitable for 2K Gaming, or Is It Overkill?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for your thoughts on my PC build linked here: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M6BwpK). I'm aiming for smooth 2K gaming at max settings, but I'm worried that the CPU might be overkill. I am considering the Ryzen 7 9700X as it seems adequate, but with how AAA games are currently optimized, I have my doubts. Any suggestions or advice on whether this is a solid build, or should I consider alternatives? Thanks and have a great day!

Honestly, your specs might be a bit overkill for just 2K gaming. However, it does give you more future-proofing compared to just going for the 9700X. I saw the 9700X on sale for about $290 before, so if you find a deal like that, it could save you some cash. Also, consider the 7800X3D if it drops to around $350, as it's more than enough for your needs.

Thanks for your input! I think the 9800X3D is a solid choice because of the 3D V-Cache. I've noticed that the price difference here isn't too great, so it seems worth the investment for better performance down the line.
