Is My PC Parts List Suitable for Gaming and Some Coding?

I'm planning to build my first PC, primarily for gaming, but I'll also be doing some coding and working with engineering graphics and AI since I'm in my first year of college. I put together a parts list and would appreciate any feedback, especially if there are any major issues with it. I've included a link to the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FLJTv4. Currently, I game on my PS5, but I've always wanted to dive into PC gaming. Plus, I'll be getting a bit of inheritance money and don't have many expenses right now.

You might want to reconsider your RAM and CPU choices. Spending $200 on a CPU only to pair it with $700 in RAM can lead to a bottleneck. It's better to opt for mid-range RAM, like 32GB, and invest the savings into a stronger CPU. That way, your $1000 GPU can perform to its fullest potential.

I didn't realize that! I just picked the CPU that seemed to fit with my RTX 5070 TI after a quick search.

You could also find a solid 1000W PSU for under $200 instead of splurging $350. Use that extra cash for a better CPU or RAM!

I'm not even sure what your list means, it looks a bit off to me!

What games are you planning to play, and do you have a nearby Micro Center? Your list looks pretty unbalanced based on what you've shared about your gaming interests.

I tend to play AAA titles like Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, and Spider-Man on my PS5, but I want to try out Ark: Survival Ascended and Fortnite on PC.
