Hey everyone! I'm looking for a quick sanity check before I upgrade my PC to a 5070. Here's my current setup:
- AMD Ryzen 9 5800X
- ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-Plus
- Team T-Force Dark Za 3600MHz CL18 DDR4 (2x16GB)
- ZOTAC 3070 Twin Edge OC 8GB
- Corsair RM850X PSU
- Samsung 970 EVO PLUS 500GB NVMe
- Fractal Design Meshify C Mini Dark Tempered Glass case
I'm planning to get a triple fan 5070 (about 306mm in length) and upgrade my Gen3 NVMe to a Gen4. Can anyone confirm the following for me?
1. Is my current PSU adequate for the new 5070?
2. Does my case have enough space for the 5070?
3. Will PCIe Gen4 work with the 5070?
4. Does my motherboard support the Gen4 NVMe?
Thanks for your help!

3. Yes, PCIe Gen4 will work with it.
4. Just refer to #2 for motherboard support details.
If you're gaming at 1440p, you might want to consider a 5070Ti instead. They’re pretty affordable at places like Microcenter or you can find some good deals on hardware swap sites!
Your PSU should handle the 5070 just fine, from what I’ve read. Don't worry about that part!
I’m actually aiming for 4K gaming with my LG 42" C2, so do you think I should definitely go for the Ti version?
