I built my PC about four months ago and noticed something odd happening during POST. Initially, I had XMP enabled in the BIOS, but I toggled it on and off because my RAM was running closer to 2900MHz rather than the advertised 3200MHz, and eventually, I got it to run at 3200MHz. However, now when I check the POST LEDs, the sequence reads red, yellow, pause, followed by red, yellow, and white. When XMP isn't enabled, it only shows red, yellow, and white. I'm curious if this is a typical behavior or if there might be an underlying issue. According to Task Manager, my RAM is running at 3200MHz, and it's installed in slots 2 and 4. Here are my specs: Motherboard: MSI Pro B760M-P DDR4, CPU: Intel i7 12700KF, GPU: Intel ARC B580, and RAM: 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz. Thanks for any insight!

I get what you're saying about the unusual LED sequence. Your motherboard manual might provide some clarity on those lights. It might be totally normal, but it's interesting to see that lighting pattern before it boots up. Have you checked the manual to see what those specific colors indicate?
Your PC seems to be functioning fine at the proper MHz. The POST sequence you're seeing isn’t an issue as long as everything is working correctly. It’s just a quirky pattern from the motherboard, nothing to worry about!
