Is My PSU Choice a Good One?

I'm trying to figure out if the PSU I'm about to buy is a good option. I've heard there's a Google document that grades different PSUs, but I'm not sure where to find it. Could someone share the link or help me out?

Here's the link to the PSU tier list you’re looking for: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/htmlview?gid=1973454078#.

If you're not going for a low-end build, make sure your PSU is ATX 3.0 or 3.1. A good warranty length can indicate quality; typically, PSUs with a 10-year warranty are reliable and quiet. Cybernetics has noise testing info that might help too. Brands like Corsair RMx series and Be Quiet PSUs are generally quiet and well-regarded. Just avoid anything from Seasonic; many reports say their fan curves are problematic.

I used to trust EVGA, but I wouldn't recommend their PSUs now since they don't offer ATX 3.0 A-rated models, although the Supernova FTW is close.

Are you referring to SPL's tier list? That one's pretty popular for comparing PSUs.

There's another tier list from the PSU cultists, but it hasn't been updated in a while. I think SPL is more reliable nowadays!
