Is My RTX 5070 Being Bottlenecked by My CPU?

Hey everyone! I just got an RTX 5070 graphics card and I'm currently using it with an i5-10400F processor. I'm planning to upgrade my processor in about a year, but right now, I'm getting around 130-160 FPS in CS2, which seems low for my setup. My GPU usage is around 40% and my CPU usage is about 40-50%. Do you think I'm facing a CPU bottleneck? Also, even with settings on low in Overwatch 2, I still get 160 FPS, but it doesn't change when I switch to ultra. Plus, in 'Until Dawn,' I'm not even reaching 60 FPS. What do you all think?

I've got the same RTX 5070, and I'm hitting around 190 FPS (locked at 1440p with max settings) using an overclocked i7-8700K at 4.9 GHz and RAM at 3200 CL16. You might want to consider upgrading your CPU for better performance across the board.

What kind of performance do you see in other games?

It sounds like your CPU might be holding you back. The i5-10400F isn't exactly a powerhouse, especially with a high-end GPU like the RTX 5070. If you're seeing that kind of FPS, it's likely a limitation of the CPU.

Try enabling XMP in your BIOS to get your RAM running at full speed. Also, in the NVIDIA Control Panel, set the Power Management Mode to 'Prefer maximum performance' specifically for CS2. Don’t forget to enable multithreaded rendering in the game settings too! It might help boost your FPS a bit.
