I'm considering purchasing a 9070XT that's available for £580. The equivalent Nvidia model is the 5070Ti, which is priced at £740. While I usually prefer Nvidia cards, I don't have a strong loyalty to any brand. Before I finalize my decision, I'm curious if there are any upcoming GPU releases I should be cautious about.

You might want to steer clear of Gigabyte cards lately. They've had some quality assurance problems with their GPUs, especially the 9070XT, due to thermal putty issues on their higher TDP models. If you find a good deal on a card right now, it’s usually better to grab it rather than waiting for something that might not even drop soon.
Yeah, I’ve heard similar stories about Gigabyte dropping the ball on their 9070XT. If you can avoid their cards, you should. But I’ve seen good reviews for their 9060XT if you’re considering something else.
There isn't much on the horizon from AMD, aside from some buzz around a 9080XT, but nothing concrete yet. In general, Sapphire, XFX, and Powercolor are solid choices for AMD GPUs. Most 9070XT cards from major brands perform similarly, so it’s wise to choose based on price, but if you can, lean towards those three brands for reliability.
Is that just about their GPUs, or should I be worried about their motherboards too? I was about to buy a Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite for my new build.
