Is Now the Right Time to Upgrade My PC or Should I Wait?

Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a dilemma about whether to build a new PC right now or stick with my current setup. I've got a mini ITX build with specs from March 2020, and I'm starting to experience issues with my power supply – it randomly restarts, which is super annoying. I mainly use my PC for daily tasks, gaming, and storing a ton of videos. I'm considering a Micro Center bundle that costs around $420, which includes a CPU, motherboard, and RAM, but the GPU would cost an additional $600 on sale with the AMD CPU purchase. I'm wondering if I should snag the bundle now before prices rise further due to tariffs or if I should wait for the new AMD chips that are set to release later this year. Any advice would be appreciated!

Whoa, just to clarify, that $420 is just for the CPU, motherboard, and RAM, right? If that's the case, it seems like a pretty solid deal, especially considering the state of the market! But yeah, the AMD CPUs coming out could change the game a bit. If you can hold off and you're okay with your current rig for now, it might be worth waiting to see what they offer later this year.

I think it really depends on how urgent your current issues are. Since your power supply is acting up, I'd probably suggest upgrading sooner rather than later. The 2070 and i5-9600K are getting a bit long in the tooth, and just sticking with them could become a hassle. If you go for that bundle now, it could save you some headaches while you wait to see what AMD brings to the table.

If your current setup feels like it’s on the brink, I say go for that upgrade now! Plus, having a fresh build means you won’t need to worry about the random restarts. Just make sure you're ready for a possible OS reinstall when you swap out the motherboard!
