Is PCIe Gen 5 Necessary for My New PC Build?

I'm in the process of building my first PC and could use some advice! I'm considering using a Ryzen 5 9600X paired with a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB. I know the GPU supports PCIe Gen 5, but I've heard that the performance difference compared to Gen 4 isn't substantial. Should I invest in a B650E or B850 motherboard, or would it be smarter to stick with a B650 for now?

Right now, it's probably not worth it. Even high-end GPUs like the 5090 don’t gain much from PCIe Gen 5, especially for the RX 9060 XT. So if your main goal is gaming, you might be fine just going with Gen 4.
