Is Ryzen 5 5600GT Good for Gaming on Linux?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded to a modern setup with a Ryzen 5 5600GT, 16GB of RAM, but I don't have a dedicated GPU. I've been looking into gaming on Linux since I found that Windows licenses are surprisingly expensive. My previous experience with Linux wasn't great—I had an Intel i3 3210 rig that struggled a lot, even with older games like Left 4 Dead 2. So, I'm curious if this Ryzen APU can handle gaming on Linux better. What kind of games should I expect to run without any major issues?

While I totally understand the temptation to stick with Linux, if you're considering Windows, there are some legit discounts for Windows 11 Pro available online. Just a heads up!

Yeah, I actually found Windows keys for a reasonable price! But I'm still leaning towards trying Linux with this new setup.

Honestly, you should be fine with that setup for Linux gaming. The Ryzen 5 5600GT offers performance close to what you’d get on a Steam Deck, so you can expect decent gaming options. Just make sure to install the right drivers and check your distro settings.

Close to Steam Deck performance? Really? That sounds promising!
