I'm planning to build a budget-friendly ITX AM4 PC in a Thermaltake Tower 100 case. However, I'm finding that all the affordable motherboards on AliExpress/Alibaba are white, and I would prefer a black one, which costs around $40-50 more. I'm considering spray painting the white motherboard to match my setup. Is this a difficult task? What should I keep in mind if I decide to go this route?

Honestly, the internals used to be less of a concern for a lot of builders. Nowadays, it seems like everyone wants everything to match visually. If you're not too picky, you could just go with the white mobo and embrace the mismatch. Also, I wouldn't trust an unknown brand too much for something as crucial as a motherboard!
Be cautious! A lot of spray paints can conduct electricity, which could fry your motherboard. Plus, if you don't mask every electrical component, it could cause heat issues since paint can act as insulation, affecting performance.
Spray painting a motherboard is possible, but it comes with risks. You'd need to mask off all connectors and slots to prevent paint from damaging them. Also, make sure to use non-conductive paint. That said, many people recommend just spending the extra cash for the black motherboard since it’ll save you the headache of painting it yourself.
Yeah, with ITX sizes, is there really a big difference between B550 and A520 for a Ryzen 5600 build?
That’s true! It’s not mandatory to buy e-waste, so maybe I’ll just go for the black one instead.
