Hey everyone! I recently got a used Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm HDD, and I noticed what seems like a food-like smell coming from my PC. It's kind of strange, and I'm not sure if it's just me overthinking it or if this is something I should be worried about. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I be concerned or is this normal?

It might just be the smell of new components settling in. Sometimes electronics can emit odd odors as they heat up, especially if they’re used or refurbished. Just make sure your setup is well-ventilated and give it some time. If it doesn't go away, then it might be worth checking out further.
Disconnecting peripherals could help too. I had a GameScent box once that gave off a weird smell. Give that a shot if the smell persists!
I’ve had something similar! It turned out to be the dust in my system burning off after reassembling my PC. If it's a faint smell, it might not be anything to worry about. If it smells like fried onions or something strong, I'd check the connections and make sure nothing is overheating!
