I'm upgrading an Acer Aspire office PC into a gaming rig for my sister, and I'm specifically looking for a graphics card that can operate without needing extra power, ideally under 75 watts. I found a low-profile 3050 with 6GB for $75. Would this be a decent choice for gaming at 1080p? If I opt for a GPU that requires external power, I'll have to reconsider the entire setup, including power supply and motherboard changes.

I found a video comparing the 3050 6GB to something like the Intel Arc A380 and the 3050 generally performs better. Plus, it has DLSS support, which is a bonus for gaming. Just keep in mind the A380 needs a power pin, so it's not as straightforward as the 3050.
Honestly, for $75, the 3050 LP 6GB is a solid choice. It outperforms many others in its price range, and you're unlikely to find a better deal right now. It should handle 1080p gaming quite well.

Thanks for the info! I ended up ordering the 3050 based on the recommendations. Appreciate the help!
