Is the $400 Difference Worth It Between the 9070 XT and 5070 TI?

I'm looking to play the latest games in 4K, and I'm comfortable with 120 fps or 60 fps with ray tracing. I plan on utilizing features like DLSS/FSR and maybe frame generation too. From what I've gathered, the 9070 XT performs poorly in only a few games like Alan Wake 2. My TV supports a maximum of 120 fps, but I'm okay with playing games at 60 fps if needed. Given this context, is it worth paying an extra $400 for the 5070 TI over the 9070 XT?

At the end of the day, buy whichever card gives you the best performance based on your budget. If the best option you can afford is the 9070 XT, go for it! Focus on your gaming experience rather than just price comparisons.

For gaming at 4K, I think you'd be fine with the 9070 XT. It's better suited for 1440p, but it can handle 4K in some titles just fine without needing to reach that 120 fps mark.

Yeah, it depends on the game. Something like Spider-Man runs smoothly even at 4K with the right settings. So, it’s not impossible to get good performance without always aiming for the top spec.

If ray tracing and future-proofing are serious concerns for you, maybe consider the 5070 TI, but again, $400 feels steep. Look for something that fits your budget better.

I'd say paying $400 more for the NVIDIA is a bit much. Maybe an extra $100 or $150, but that’s pushing it. You really need to weigh if those benefits are worth it to you, especially if you primarily game.

I see your point, but if you really rely on NVIDIA for certain tasks, like 3D modeling with Blender, that $400 could make sense in that case.

Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with the $400 difference. The 9070 XT is a good card, and I think it's definitely worth sticking with it unless you have specific needs for NVIDIA features.
