I've been a bit out of it lately and mixed up the models in my last post about the 4060 Ti vs 7800 XT. But now that I'm thinking about the choice between the 5060 Ti 16GB and the 7800 XT, I'm curious if it's worth switching to the 7800 XT since they're priced similarly at around 830 CAD. Some say the 7800 XT performs better in certain scenarios, but I noticed it has a 4% lower rating on UserBenchmark compared to the 5060 Ti. My setup includes an R5 9060X CPU and 16GB of DDR5 RAM with CL30 timings. Looking for some advice here!

Honestly, I wouldn't put too much faith in UserBenchmark since it's pretty biased against AMD. That being said, the 7800 XT is about 15% faster overall. However, if you’re looking at the same price point, the 5060 Ti seems like the smarter buy. Its upscaling capabilities alone can justify the performance gap, plus it’s likely to have better support in the future. Don't underestimate Nvidia’s features when considering longevity.
