I'm considering breaking down my PC setup and I need some advice. I'm a hobbyist photographer and plan to use my computer mainly for photo editing and content creation, especially with a new 4K monitor for detailed editing work. While photo editing isn't super demanding, I do enjoy playing games casually, like Civilization, and I might dive into first-person shooters occasionally too. I'm wondering if the 5070 GPU will be sufficient for my needs in 4K gaming without being primarily focused on gaming. My last gaming PC was built about a decade ago, so I'm trying to catch up on what's good these days, especially with the rising prices on RAM! Thanks in advance for your help!

It really depends on the game and the graphics settings you choose. I'd recommend enabling DLSS and using the Quality preset while turning off or lowering ray tracing if possible. This should give you a nice performance boost. For games like Civilization or most eSports FPS games, the 5070 should handle 4K pretty well. What specific games do you have in mind? I just built a 7500F / 5070 rig for a buddy, so I can share some insights!

Thanks! That helps a lot! I realize my question was a bit vague since I haven't gamed in a while. The last PC I built was super budget and I had to constantly check performance requirements to get games to run. Now that I'm older, I want something that works better without the hassle!
