Hey folks, I recently picked up a Gigabyte 5080 but am debating whether to return it for the 5070 Ti. I'm struggling to find benchmarks specifically for this resolution (3440x1440) with the 5070 Ti. If anyone has experience gaming at this resolution with that card, can you share if I can still expect high FPS in demanding games? I usually play titles like Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3, Path of Exile, and Borderlands 4.

I’d recommend sticking with the 5080. For 3440x1440, which is kind of in between 1440p and 4K, benchmarks for 4K can give you some insight. Since 3440x1440 has about 5 million pixels, it’s quite demanding, but not as much as 4K. You’re going to want that extra power from the 5080 for a better gaming experience overall.

Honestly, there's just a slight difference of about 15% in performance. If you're considering saving more than $300 with the downgrade, go for it, but it might've been better to just stick with the 5070 Ti in the first place.

I've got a 5070 Ti paired with a 3440x1440 monitor. In Borderlands 4, I can't break 100 FPS without using DLSS or frame generation. You're likely not going to get 165 FPS with the latest AAA titles, but you’ll definitely still have a decent experience. If you grabbed the 5080 for around $1000 and the 5070 Ti isn’t at MSRP, just enjoy what you have without the hassle of a return.

Yeah, I got the 5080 for $1300, and I can snag the 5070 Ti for $850.
