I'm currently using a 5700G paired with a 7800 XT, and I'm curious about upgrading to a 5800X3D. How significant of an improvement can I expect with this upgrade?

I agree, it could be a big improvement in performance, especially for CPU-intensive games. But right now, the pricing in the U.S. doesn't make it worthwhile unless you find a deal.

You'll see a noticeable boost, particularly in your 1% lows, which means smoother gameplay with less stuttering. Just ensure you have good cooling for optimal performance!

Exactly! It's not just about the average frames; a stable 60fps is much better than fluctuating around 120fps.

If you can find a 5800X3D, you'll definitely notice the difference, especially with its larger cache. The 5700G performs similarly to a Ryzen 3600, so the upgrade would be substantial for gaming.

Yeah, but you should also factor in the price. A 5800X3D is a solid upgrade, but at over $250, it might be better to save a bit more and switch to an AM5 system, like the 7600X.
