Is the 9060XT 16GB a Good Choice for an Ultrawide Monitor Upgrade?

I'm planning to gift my girlfriend a GPU upgrade for her birthday and she's currently using a GTX 1070. She's looking to switch from her 1080p 144hz monitor to an ultrawide one, likely around 3440x1440 at 144hz. I think a 9060XT 16GB would be a solid option, especially with GPU prices being wild in Australia right now. The cheapest I found is $599 AUD. She's not super picky about performance, just wanting at least 60fps for modern and future games. Any thoughts on whether the 9060XT would fit her needs?

True, the 9070 is a much better option for longevity in gaming. Just check her CPU too, you don’t want to bottleneck the 9060XT.

Definitely! The 9060XT should hit or even exceed 60fps in most games. Just keep in mind, it might struggle to reach 144fps on more demanding titles.

It might hit 60fps at max settings now, but for future-proofing with 1440p ultrawide, you might want to aim higher, like a 9070. It’s a bit pricier, I get that.

Yeah, I think it’ll be good enough for her gaming needs. Most games should comfortably allow for 60fps at that resolution.

But don't forget, she might need to fiddle with some settings for heavy games.
