I'm looking to surprise my husband with a graphics card upgrade since we love gaming together. Right now, he has a 2080 Ti. I found a 5070 for $500 and a 9070 XT for $600. Is that extra $100 worth it for the 9070 XT, especially considering he plays Battlefield 6 with friends at 1080p and we enjoy games like BG3 and Civ together at 1440p? I'd appreciate any advice!

Honestly, the 9070 XT gives you the best bang for your buck right now. It's a solid upgrade, and I'm sure your husband will love it!
The 9070 XT is definitely faster at 1440p and has more VRAM, so I'd say it's worth the extra $100! He'll be able to enjoy a smoother gaming experience for sure.
I’d rank them like this: 5070 Ti first, then 9070 XT, and lastly, the 5070. But honestly, the 9070 XT is a great choice for what he plays!
Don't forget to check if his PSU can handle the upgrade! The 9070 can draw quite a bit more power.
If you can find the 9070 XT for about the same price as the 5070, definitely go for it. It's only a bit slower than the XT but still performs really well.

Absolutely! Plus, the VRAM means he won’t be bottlenecked in demanding games.
