I'm wondering how much more the AMD 7 9850X3D is worth compared to the AMD 7 9800X3D. Specifically, what would be a fair premium to pay for the 9850 model over the 9800?

Most people seem to think around $50 more is reasonable since that’s the difference in their prices. But honestly, I don't see much value in the 9850X3D since it's just a tiny bit faster. For me, it's not worth that much more.
I get that, but honestly, $9,800 for a CPU is just outrageous! Who's paying that?
