Hey everyone! I'm trying to find out if the AMD Ryzen 7 8700F or Ryzen 5 7500F paired with an MSI RTX 3060 12GB would be a solid choice for gaming. Are these processors a good match? Also, I've heard about the Ryzen 5 7600X – is it any better? I'm looking for suggestions and my budget is around Php 11k (about $190-$200).

The R5 7500F and 7600X are pretty comparable. The 7500F is cheaper, so it's a great pick. There's no noticeable bottleneck between the 7500F and the 8700F. When you're ready for an upgrade, consider jumping to a 7800X3D or something even better.
I'd recommend against the 8700F. The 7500F or 7600X would serve you better. If you can find the 7600 (non-X) at a good price, I’d say go for that. Keep in mind, the 7500F performs similarly to the 7600X but lacks integrated graphics, which can be handy for troubleshooting issues with your rig.
Thanks for the tip! So they're all part of the Ryzen 5 series, right? I'm a bit new to this.
Just to clarify, is your budget just for the CPU? Do you already have a motherboard in mind? And a heads up—steer clear of the Ryzen 8000 series; their cut-down cache really hurts gaming performance.
Yep, that's strictly for the CPU. I haven't bought a motherboard yet because I want to make sure it fits my needs for school, graphic design, video editing, and gaming. XD
Is the R5 actually better than the R7? My laptop runs on an R5 5600H and it handles my games on medium to high graphics really well.
